Force Platform Software Tools
(Last revision: Version 1.08, 10 October 2002)

This page provides access to software for the display and analysis of force platform data. Use the BioProc program to convert your data to a suitable form (.RF format) and the Biomech Motion Analysis System for inverse dynamics analysis.

Files
  • FO108.EXE (703 Kb) - Self-extracting archive, containing the Windows95/98/NT program, FORCES.EXE, the installation file, READMEFO.TXT, and sample data for testing the Forces95 program. The program, Conv2RF, may be used to convert ASCII data files to a form suitable for this software and the Biomech Motion Analysis System.
  • READMEFO.TXT (2 Kb) - Text file describing installation procedures
  • FORCES.EXE (278 Kb) - Forces program only
  • FORCES.PDF (8 Kb) - Forces95 User's Manual in PDF format (needs Acrobat Reader). Note, when used with the Biomech system this file should be placed in the \MANUALS subdirectory of the \BIOMECH directory (e.g., C:\BIOMECH\MANUALS).
  • RF_FILE.TXT (2 Kb) - Biomech .RF file format
  • FOWIN108.ZIP (1.7 Mb) - Archive containing Setup program for installing Forces to Windows95/98/NT.

How to install the system:
To install, download the FO106.EXE file to a hard disk subdirectory, such as, C:\TEMP. Then execute the following command:

FO106 -n path

where "path" is the name of the subdirectory where the software will be installed. If you plan to use this sotware with the Biomech Motion Analysis System (recommended), install them to the same subdirectory, e.g., C:\BIOMECH. You will need, approximately, 1 Mbyte of disk space.
